Description:The Accelerated (F) Stream is a ​condensed version of the BScN Basic program designed for students who have already completed at least two years of university study (four full terms). Applicants to this stream must have successfully completed specific university credits in Human Anatomy & Physiology and Biochemistry and must have been completed within four years of enrolling. Students in the (F) stream are able to complete the BScN program in five back-to-back academic terms.

Admission Requirements

Test Scores:
  • International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 6.5] or Canadian Academic English Language Assessment [min. 70] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 86] or Cambridge English for Speakers of Other Languages: Certificate in Advanced English [min. 190] or DuoLingo [min. 115]

Students who have been asked to meet McMaster’s English Language Proficiency requirement must demonstrate English language proficiency by achieving the minimum requirements as specified by McMaster: IELTS: 6.5, CAE: 190, PTE: 60, CAEL: 70, TOEFL (iBT): 86, DUO: 115.

Additional Admission Requirements:
    - TO BE CONSIDERED, APPLICANTS MUST:

    - Achieve a Cumulative Average of at least B- in the last 2 years of university degree credit courses taken (minimum 54 Units).

    - Complete a minimum grade of at least C- on each of the following required courses:
    - 6 units of Psychology, 3 units of which must be at the introductory level, the other 3 units must be from the approved list
    - 6 units of Human Physiology OR 6 units of Human Anatomy & Physiology
    - Human Physiology courses must cover all of the following systems: Neuro, Endocrine, Cardiac, Respiratory, Digestive, Reproductive, Urinary, Musculoskeletal and Acid/Base balance
    - 6 units in any of the following courses: Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Nutrition, Kinesiology
    - 3 units of Statistics

    Please note all BScN applicants must complete a mandatory CASPer Test (Computer-Based Assessment for Sampling Personal Characteristics).
